Costume Party
Although Costume Party by Rival looks like one of those games found under “Others” category in an online casino, it is actually a video slot with horizontal instead of vertical reel spinning. This particular release has a somewhat different concept of symbols alignment and the players are likely to have much more fun with this version than with the regular slots.

Instead of pushing the spin button and waiting for the symbols to land in a correct manner, you will actually need to assemble a person in order to generate a payout. All of the symbols will need to land in a way that completes one of the 8 main symbols, head to toes.
The slot starts with an intro video that will give you a preview of what the game is about. The main characters are constantly switching body parts and it is up to the player to keep spinning the reels so that the icons could rearrange and complete the party guests.
Basically, Costume Party is much like the Rubik Cube, only random. This means that you will not spend weeks trying to solve it and the time invested will actually pay off.
Mix, Match, and Mingle
Costume Party is played on 3×3 grid with 3 paylines and $0.01-$45 betting range. Players can bet up to 3 coins per line and select the number of characters which will be active during the spinning session. If, for example, you activate just one character, the payout will be produced only when all of the icons on the middle reel align and form an entire party guest.
The icons on the first and last reel will not cash out unless the players unlock them.
For a combination to be valid, the Head, Torso, and Legs all must land on the correct places. Monster is the highest value icon and if you manage to complete the entire Frankenstein, 1800 – 5,400 coins will be generated, depending on the bet level. The Witch, Astronaut, Knight, Hero, Cowboy, Nurse, and the Chicken are the rest of the Costume Party guests, with Orangutan Torso as the Wild symbol.
Get the Party Started!
As soon as you manage to complete your first character, the corresponding symbol will light up on the paytable, saving your progress. In a way, it’s like getting an RSVP! The Wild icon can replace any other Torso symbol and complete the body.
Costume Party is definitely unique and fun to play, but there are some shortcomings that cannot be disregarded. First of all, the game inclines toward high volatility and has a pretty low return to the player percentage, only 94.5%. The payout potential is great, but mostly on pressed bets, and unless you are careful, your balance can run out pretty quickly. Finally, there are no bonus features, and completing the character, as fun as it may be, is pretty much all you get.
All that aside, you will still get a fairly amusing game which can give you your money’s worth, but only if you are willing to accept the risk.
