El Luchador
Ever since it was originally introduced in Mexico at the very beginning of the 20th century, Lucha libre, or freestyle wrestling, has maintained its iconic status and remained one of the most popular forms of sports entertainment.
Some of the reasons people just can’t get enough of this branch of pro wrestling are the background stories explaining the conflicts between the fighters, amazing maneuvers, flashy costumes, and the everlasting conflict between the good and evil embodied in the wrestlers’ alter egos.
Over the years, both the moves and the sense for fashion became more extravagant, resulting in over-the-top masks which grew to represent more than just accessories. The fighter’s mask is his banner and represents that person’s honor. Unmasking the wrestler means to disgrace him and, in some cases, the match must end with a loser removing the mask permanently.

If RTG’s El Luchador is your first encounter with the Mexican wrestling, you may be taken aback by the eccentric costumes. Rest assure that this is a pretty accurate representation of the real Lucha libre and the slot does a decent job of replicating the appearance of the true luchadors.
Get Ready to Rumble!
El Luchador slot is played on a standard 5×3 reel grid and features 25 paylines that can be manually adjusted. The players can activate a single payline only and bet as low as $0.01 or press their bets to $5 per line, which makes the maximum bet on all 20 lines $125. Another way to adjust your bet would be to use the Max Lines option, which will activate all lines without changing the coin value.
The players can initiate up to 300 spins via the Auto Play feature that comes with the advanced settings tab. If you decide to play the game in auto mode, you will be able to select the parameters that will stop auto spins, choose the number of active lines, select the auto spins bet level, and determine the payout amount that will stop the Auto Play.
The highest paying symbols are the Mariachi Luchador (with the black sombrero) and the Wild symbol (the fighter with the white sombrero and sunglasses). Wrestlers with the Blue Mask, yellow Aztec headpiece and the White Rabbit costume generate medium payouts, while the card suits have the lowest payout values. All symbols pay left to right, with the exception of Scatters, which pay both ways.
Freestyle Your Way to Free Spins and Multipliers
Match Multipliers can be triggered at the beginning of any random spin, multiplying the payouts by 2, 3, 4, or 5. Fly High Wilds can also be randomly activated at the end of a spin, transforming all Scatters into Wilds.
Curtain Pick is another random bonus that can be activated after a spin, awarding a picking game that reveals a cash prize. The only bonus round triggered by the Scatter combination is the El Luchador Free Spins feature, initiating 10 Free Spins with x2 multiplier. Additional Scatters can re-trigger this feature and the Match Multipliers, Curtain Pick, and Fly High Wilds can all pop up while the bonus spins are in progress.
Although El Luchador is not a new release (the game is launched in 2015 and the graphics are pretty simple), the slot offers some pretty competitive bonus features, simple, yet generous. The randomness of the bonus games will increase the player’s motivation and introduce the element of suspense, while predominantly medium variance will appeal to the players whose budget cannot bear the strain of prolonged dry spins sessions.
