Goldilocks and the Wild Bears
The familiar tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is one many of us will fondly remember. It perfectly captures the feeling of curiosity and trust that you feel as a child. And the later run-in with the bears shows that the world is not nearly as safe as you might think it to be! Regardless, it is another Quickspin release with a fairy tale theme. We already mentioned this in our Big Bad Wolf review, but slots with child-friendly themes just rub us the wrong way.

To be fair to the developers, their game does look pretty good. There is a lush forest serving as a background, with a small picket fence at the very bottom. The three bears are brought to life in a wonderful fashion, oozing with personality and grace. Well, some of them, at least! You also have the familiar playing card royals to fill up the rest of the spaces on the playing field.
The layout is the same one Quickspin uses in all of their titles. As always, we adore its functionality, but the orange color just does not blend well. There is a reason other software providers make their interfaces semi-transparent, or change colors to fit each different slot. The current iteration just clashes horribly with the foliage.
It offers a low to medium variance, focusing on engaging gameplay rather than landing big wins. You can still squeeze some out, but you will mostly see small, frequent pays over massive numbers.
Who’s Been Eating My Symbols?
Goldilocks and the Wild Bears is played on a 5×3 board with 25 fixed paylines. That means gamblers cannot choose to turn some or all paylines off to lower their minimum bet.
The RTP is a very satisfying 97.84%. This is far above the current industry average of 96%. For a game released in 2017, this is fantastic!
You can click the Total Bet to open a dropdown menu full of options. Here, you can pick a wide number of cash prizes, from $0.25 up to $100 per spin.
The Autoplay options allows players to pick between 10 to 1000 auto spins. Selecting the advanced options, Quickspin also lets you set a loss and single win limit if you so desire.
Three or more identical symbols adjacent to each other, starting with the leftmost reel, will award a winning combination. These icons must follow one of the twenty-five active paylines.
The most valuable symbol is the slightly murderous papa bear, followed by momma bear, the bear brat and the well-used bear doll. The letters A and K follow after them, and then the least valuable icons are letters Q, J and 10.
Goldilocks and The Three Bonuses
When a Multiplier Wild appears during a game round as part of a win, it adds a multiplier to the total cash prize. These multiplier Wilds also act as regular Wilds, and substitute for any other symbol on the playing field.
Pros & Cons
Three free spins Scatters in any position will grant 10 free spins. From here, access to the Bears Turn Wild bonus becomes available. Using said special feature, you can also win more free spins and keep the fun going for longer.
Picking up the Goldilocks Progress Scatter will slowly turn bears Wild. You need to collect it a certain number of times before each bear transforms into a Wild. If you succeed in enraging the entire bear family, collecting additional Scatters will give you two extra free spins.
