Mighty Arthur
The tale of the proud King Arthur is most popular in Britain, but has been heard by many people. The story depicts a warrior who unifies the kingdom against invaders, and later rules it while combating treachery and dark magic. While historians continue to argue if Arthur existed or not, his legend continues to live on in movies, TV shows and now slots!
Do you have what it takes to unify the kingdoms once more? Or will Arthur end up not so mighty after all?

Editors Note – This slot is not to be confused with the “King Arthur” slot.
I messed that up at first.
In playing a few rounds to get some images I thought to myself, “man, this is not nearly as fun as this review makes it sound”.
This 2017 Quickspin release seems set at the beginning of our king’s adventure. The background image depicts a peaceful grove, with thick foliage and fireflies lazily floating about. All the while the famed sword of Excalibur sits hidden behind the reels, waiting for its owner to return. Symbols are a mixture of characters from Arthurian legend, items from that era, and playing card icons.
The developers use their same white and orange user interface here. Our nitpick continues to be the same, as well. Either change the color scheme, or make background that do not clash horrendously with the orange. As it stands, all the neat little details like sun rays peeking through the leaves feel less than impactful. Because your eyes are drawn to the bright orange spin button, distracting you from the effort their artists made.
The game has a medium volatility, carefully trying to balance frequent wins and big jackpots. While this type of release is a jack of all trades, it is a master of none. But for an engaging experience with good rewards, medium variance is king.
Mighty Arthur’s Mighty Symbols
The title is played on a 5×3 board with 20 fixed paylines. That means gamblers cannot turn some or all paylines off in order to lower their minimum bet.
This Quickspin release has an RTP of 96.94%, which is higher than the current industry average of 96%. Considering its 2017 release date, you could say this historical slot was ahead of its time!
Clicking the total bet button opens a dropdown menu with all the wagers on it. Players can choose $0.20 as the minimum, and $100 as the maximum stake, with a wide range of options in between.
The Autoplay in Mighty Arthur lets you pick between 10 to 1000 auto spins. Opening the advanced section lets gamblers set a loss or single win limit. They can choose pre-selected options, or enter their own values.
Collecting three or more identical symbols in adjacent positions, from left to right will grant the appropriate cash prize. Only icons following one of the active 20 paylines will count as a win.
The Wild and the red-headed Guinevere are the most valuable symbols. After them comes Lancelot, then the tome, helmet and silver cup. The least valuable icons are the playing card royals: 10, J, Q, K and A.
Pros & Cons
Merlin’s Magical Bonuses
If Arthur’s symbol lands on the third reel, he will expand to adjacent reels, forming a massive 3×1 Wild. This guarantees a win every time it happens, so you best hope high paying icons are on the first reel.
Merlin can appear on all five reels, and is also a colossal 3×1 Wild. When he first appears, he will create between two to six Wilds, and randomly spread them on the playing field.
Collecting three golden crown Scatters on the first, third and fifth reel rewards ten free spins. Both Wilds and their special features are available during extra turns.
