Spring time has come once again and brings along all the springtime things that we’ve missed over the last few months. The rains come along and wash away any ugliness left over from the previous months, promising a new, happy, maybe even better year.

There’s the Ides of March when (hopefully) all of our debts get settled.

There’s all of the showers that bring along the flowers.

There’s the giant rabbit that sneaks into your home, lays colorful eggs around the joint and makes it so that you get to have chocolate for breakfast for a few days. Yeah, wrap your mind around that!

Then in 2021 there’s also the great new slot “Spring Wilds” to really get you in the mood for everything the upcoming year has to offer!

Spring into Winnings

Spring Wilds is a slot made by the folks over at Real Time Gaming, new for spring 2021. We cannot find the RTP, but the volatility is listed as “high”.

The game is a 5×3 playfield and has 25 fixed lines. Because these are “fixed lines”, that does mean that you cannot change the number of active paylines, you’ll always be playing with those. There is a “Lucky Streak Re-Spin” feature that comes with independent reels and Free Spins which can be re-triggered.

Like most slots, the player will be looking to match 3 or more identical symbols going from left-to-right.

Basic Symbols:
As far as the “basic” symbols go, you’ve got 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. From the lowest win, (matching three 9’s) the player will win their bet times 5. With the highest win, (matching 5 bunnies) the player will win their bet times 600.

Scatter Symbols and Free Games:
These take the form of an Easter Basket filled with golden eggs and will pay when they appear anywhere on the board.

• Get three of these = Win your bet X 1 + 10 Free Games
• Get four of these = Win your bet X 10 + 15 Free Games
• Get five of these = Win your bet X 25 + 20 Free Games

It is also possible to re-activate the free spins while the original ones are going, giving you potentially countless games.

The maximum win per spin is the bet times 50,000 and all features will stop if this limit is reached.

Wild Tile:
The Wild Tile is represented by a giant, colorful Easter egg. This symbol can stand in for any other symbol except for the scatter and the bonus symbol.

This symbol will appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 only.

Bonus Symbol:
The Bonus Symbol is the games logo and can appear anywhere.

When this symbol comes up 6 times or more, the bonus game starts.

There is nothing for the player to do while the bonus game is going, it’s all automatic.

When these 6 symbols come up, they will “lock into place” and the rest of the symbols will spin again. If any new bonus symbols come out again, they will also lock into place and this will continue until no more bonus symbols come out and the game resets, or the entire board is full of the symbol.

The player will then win a prize depending on how many bonus symbols are remaining at the games end. They start with the best multiplied by 6 and go up to the bet multiplied by 400 when all tiles are filled with the bonus symbol.

Graphics and Sound:
Visually speaking, Spring Wilds is an absolutely gorgeous game if you’re into the whole Spring time / Easter look.

The animals are bright eyed and curious, happy to see you. The background itself is that of a land made of candy and all of the sugar you can imagine. Even your basic symbols are in fact made of donuts and other sugary treats.

While the sound isn’t really anything to write home about, there’s worse out there. The music has a nice, bouncy, almost happy tempo to it, keeping the player bouncing and bounding along at all times.

Not knowing the RTP of this slot is a turn-off, however, aside from that we cannot think of much reason someone should not be playing this slot. The Spring Time theme which isn’t bad at all will end up being the downfall of this game when something newer comes out and takes your attention away!
